Harker FPS is a student-run chapter of California's Future Problem Solving program. We have over 20 teams and 15 individual competitors from grades 4 to 12. Harker sends over 30 students to the annual state bowl competition and 2-3 teams to the international conference each year to compete with people from all over the world. FPS participants research a series of topics and familiarize themselves with the six-step creative problem-solving process. They then use their acquired knowledge to address a charge presented in an imagined situation, termed Future Scene. Students not only become more aware of rising global issues but also create lasting memories and lifelong friendships.
